    This article is NOT accurate.

    SWOOPO cannot and do not have offices in France, the person that wrote this article should do his research properly and as such raises questions regarding the veracity of his/her claims re the other webiste cited.

    Penny Auction websites are not allowed in France as they are categorized as ‘Gaming Websites’. It is La Française des Jeux (FDJeux), a governmental institution, that has the monopole. Only recently the market in the online gaming sector has been opened to a few websites, scrupulously chosen by the Authorities and FDjeux.
